Compañía Pepa Molina is a Western Sydney Cultural Arts Organisation (incorporated association) with DGR status.(*A deductible gift recipient (DGR) is an organisation that can receive tax-deductible donations. If a donation is tax-deductible, donors can deduct the amount of their donation from their taxable income when they lodge their tax return.)
Leading the organisation is our Board of Directors, which provides guidance and support to help us achieve our company's mission.
CPM is committed to having a strong representation of artists on our Board, bolstered by exceptionally skilled professionals who love what we do. Our current board consists of two artists of Spanish heritage and is complemented by six passionate and accomplished professionals whose skills and expertise contribute considerable value to the company, including a First Nations director & 3 Western Sydney Board members.
Who we are
Chair - Cathy Nisbet
Skills: Philanthropy, Fundraising, Partnerships, Spanish speaker & Flamenco advocate.
Current role: Community development advisor- Sutherland Shire Council.
Cathy Nisbet, leveraging extensive media experience from The Sydney Morning Herald to the BBC, has led fundraising and Government Relations strategies in the Arts and NFP sector as Director, Philanthropy and Partnerships at Shopfront Arts Co-op. Cathy holds a BA (Hons) in Hispanic Studies and a Diploma in Professional Counselling.
Vice Chair - Susan Anita Briggs

Flamenco artist & advocate
Current role: Consulting (Self-Employed)
Susan Briggs has over 20 years’ experience in vocational education and training. She holds a BA in Communications and Spanish, and a Diploma of Education. Formerly an Industry Specialist for Tourism and Hospitality, she led national qualification development. A former professional flamenco dancer in Spain, she now splits her time between Australia and Spain, continuing her flamenco journey.
Secretary – Jessa Melicor

Current role: Communications and Projects Manager at IFACCA (International Federation of Arts Councils & Culture Agencies)
Jessa Melicor is an experienced communications and marketing professional with a passion for flamenco and visual arts. She holds a Bachelor of International Business from Macquarie University and a Master of Arts, Painting from UNSW Art and Design. Jessa is a Content and Campaign Manager and brings digital communications knowledge, having worked for not-for-profit organisations in the arts and other industries.
Treasurer - Maxine Acosta-Ostrzycki

Current role: Language teacher at Blaxland High School.
Maxine holds an MBA in Corporate Governance, Leadership, Strategic Management and Finance, and a Graduate Diploma in Education (LOTE & ESL). She has extensive experience in education, project management and entrepreneurship, having worked as a Senior Project Officer at NSW Education Standards Authority, Language Officer at NSW Department of Education, and as a teacher of Spanish, French and English.
Public Officer/ CEO – Pepa Molina

Pepa Molina, a first-generation Flamenco artist of Andalusian heritage, has an international career spanning over three decades. Founder & CEO of Compañía Pepa Molina, she has created ten acclaimed productions staged worldwide. Based in Western Sydney, she established Las Flamenkas ensemble, mentors emerging artists, and serves as Australian & Asian Ambassador for the Escuela de Flamenco de Andalucía and Board Member of FORM Dance Projects.
Director – Miguel Olmo

Current role: Manager, Lane Cove Gallery & Creative Studios
Miguel is a Spanish Australian contemporary artist and cultural leader and is currently the Gallery Manager & Curator at Gallery Lane Cove & Creative Studios.
In his arts practice, he works across diverse media including sculpture, photography, video, sound and other formats, and often draws from his Spanish heritage and experience living in the diaspora to explore memory, time and ephemerality.
Director – Maria Legaz

Current role: President & Director of Spanish Community Care Association Inc (DGR Status)
Maria Legaz is President and Director of the Spanish Community Care Association Inc. (SCCA), supporting elderly Spanish-speaking residents in Sydney. A respected community leader, she serves on multiple boards and advisory committees, including Compañía Pepa Molina and CRE. With a Diploma in Community Services, she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree and actively promotes Spanish culture and Flamenco in Australia.
Director – Mariko Adams
Skills: Quality Assurance and Compliance, Spanish speaker, Flamenco & Ballet educator,
dancer & advocate.
Current role: Testing Advisor at GS1 Australia, a member-based not-for-profit organisation to operate and manage supply chain standards in accordance with the global GS1 system.
Mariko Adams, of Wiradjuri and Japanese heritage, has deep connections with First Nations and Spanish communities in Sydney. Beginning her dance journey at age six with BJP Physical Culture, she later trained in Ballet (RAD), Jazz, and Tap before discovering Flamenco in 2008, which she continues to study and perform while also teaching from a young age.
